Dyestuff is a materials that is widely used across textile industry for dyeing the fabrics. The development of textile technology did not dramatically alter the use or necessity of dyestuff, but over time it has evolved into a more refined and complex product. The development of textile looms and other modern technology, such as dye-manufacturing, gave rise to a wide variety of synthetic materials, including polyester, nylon, and viscose. Dyed fabrics are those that contain dyes mixed with other additives. These additives can be put on the fabric as a powder or as a liquid and then used to color the fabric. The process of dyeing involves adding an acid to a dye powder and combining the two. This is known as the "dyeing of cotton." Dyestuff are typically made from natural fibers.
