Dyestuff market is expected to gain benefits from expanding textile industry around the globe
Dyestuff
is a materials that is widely used across textile industry for dyeing the
fabrics. The development of textile technology did not dramatically alter the use
or necessity of dyestuff, but over time it has evolved into a more refined and
complex product. The development of textile looms and other modern technology,
such as dye-manufacturing, gave rise to a wide variety of synthetic materials,
including polyester, nylon, and viscose.
Dyed
fabrics are those that contain dyes mixed with other additives. These additives
can be put on the fabric as a powder or as a liquid and then used to color the
fabric. The process of dyeing involves adding an acid to a dye powder and
combining the two. This is known as the "dyeing of cotton."
Dyestuff are typically made from natural
fibers. Primitive man used natural fibers from animal hide or antlers, and even
managed to create a yarn that was both strong and durable. Today synthetic
fibers, especially polyester, are common. The dyed yarn is processed through
the addition of dyes and binders to threads that have been spun or woven. These
threads are then supplied to manufacturers for application to clothing and
other consumer items. There are many different kinds of fabrics that can be
dyed, but perhaps the most popular kinds are those that are "dyed for
wear." For example, a common fabric used in sportswear is called
"athletic lycra," which is a type of Lycra fabric that provides an
extremely comfortable fit.
These
kinds of fabrics are typically manufactured for everyday use, and the fabric is
not designed primarily for one purpose but many. Dyed fibers are usually
blended together. One of these blends is "antimicrobial" fiber. The
fibers are actually dyed black, brown, or sometimes green. Other colors can be
mixed in.
