Adoption of Infection Control Practices and Procedures at Healthcare Settings Increases Significantly Post Covid-19 Pandemic

  There are several methods of infection control and prevention, including personal hygiene practices, general practices of health care and institutional practices relating to safe handling of hazardous substances. The use of personal protective equipment is a necessary practice in the control and prevention of communicable diseases; it is done to protect the wearer and to reduce the risk of transmitting infections to other people. Personal care practices include washing hands frequently and following hygiene practices such as not using towels or rags that have been used on a patient in the last three months. General practices relating to health care involve maintaining adequate supplies of medical supplies such as medications and devices. Adoption of infection control practices and procedures at healthcare settings has increased significantly post COVID -19 pandemic.
