Dimer Acid, also known as dicyclic amino acids, is diatomaceous earth compounds prepared by blending hexane and sulfur in the presence of a catalyst. The density of this compound is approximately four times that of water. Dimer acid is used in the synthesis of polyaramid polymers, low-density fiberboards, low-density insulation, and foam. Dimer acid has a wide range of commercial applications. It is widely used in the paper and thermal coatings industries to manufacture textiles and papers and increase the strength and stiffness of these products and in the manufacturing of lubricants and adhesives. It is also used to manufacture plastic materials, plastics bottles, and other similar products. Dimer acid is used to improve the resistance of many products to petroleum-based coatings such as oilskin and paint. In the context of cosmetic applications, it is widely used to improve the feel, color, and sheen of cosmetics and hair products, especially natural and organic skincare produc
