Modular Kitchen; Provides Ample Storage Space Even In the Smallest of Kitchen Areas
A modular kitchen is simply a modern and flexible way to
design kitchen, allowing users to choose a variety of cabinets for different
functions which come in modules. Modular kitchen layout consists of kitchen
units with cabinets to organize the accessories in the kitchen. It is a concept
of modern kitchen which comprises of shelves, cabinets, and drawers organized
in a manner that saves up on a lot of space. Modular kitchens are convenient in
terms of organizing limited spaces, especially in the apartment-style living
spaces of crowded cities.
Modular
kitchen allows users to dismantle whole kitchen, move it to a new
apartment and fix it again. They are designed to maximize every inch of
precious space available in the kitchen. The standard modular layout usually
includes floor units, wall units, storage cabinets, gadgets-storage spaces,
etc. Generally, modular kitchens have lower and upper cabinets, designed to
increase comfort and convenience. Large and heavy items can be kept in the
lower cabinets, while items that are frequently needed can be kept in the upper
ones.
Thus, with the increasing construction activities, due to
the increasing urbanization worldwide, the demand for modular kitchens is also
increasing. According to the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development, in May 2019, the total number of new residential housing completed
in the U.S. was 1,213,000 and 1,294,000 building permits were sanctioned.
Usually modular kitchens come with at least 2 base units, one for oven and one
with drawers and shelf space, which users can use as a countertop for working
in the kitchen.
A modular kitchen is a flexible and modern style of design
or layout, enabling users to select a range of cabinets for various purposes
that come in modular designs. However, the size and layout of the kitchen
directly affects the price of kitchen. A large kitchen can accommodate more
modules, ergo more expensive. Moreover, a modular kitchen has many advantages
that a traditional kitchen is not able to offer. An effective, well-planned
modular kitchen offers a lot of storage space even in the smallest of kitchen
areas.
