Portable Chargers Have Standard Capacity Battery and Charge According To the Level of Use
A
portable charger is an extension of a normal battery bank and is designed to
power a number of items at once. For instance, a portable power bank for your
automobile. There's no difference: Power bank and portable charger are just one
and same. The only difference: with the portable one comes certain high-end,
high power, and even heavy-duty usage with different power ratings and
voltages.
Portable
charger is an electrical
device that is meant to be plugged into a wall outlet and can transfer power
from a DC source to a regular (usually laptop/book) port. Most often portable
chargers are used for phones/security/medical equipment (to help the device to
function properly), for gaming, digital camera/photography, and PDA devices and
more. The portable charger has a standard capacity battery and it charges
according to the level of use. Generally, it is used for short-term use as its
large capacity battery gives sufficient juice to run the device for a few
hours. On the contrary, wall plug in type is meant to be used regularly - daily
or almost every day.
When
we buy a portable charger we are actually buying two things: a power bank and a
power source. The power bank refers to the device itself - in this case the
portable charger - while the power source refers to the wall outlet on which
the power bank is plugged in. As a rule, the higher the wattage rating of the
battery pack the longer it will last and the longer the device will stay
charged. For instance, the Kindle Fire makes use of a high wattage battery
pack, but this device is said to last up to six hours on a single charge.
A
standard electrical outlet provides the required current to power most
electronic devices. However, there are certain devices that require high
currents and as a result, these require specific power banks that can provide
adequate juice to run the device. For instance, the iPhone runs mainly on a
triple A battery but requires one extra outlet for its charging cable. These
power banks are widely available online and from electronic stores all over the
U.S.
