Polyphthalamide is one such material that has many applications in industries around the globe. Some of these uses include lubrication, drying, cleaning, and bonding. Polyphosphate is widely used as a lubricant in a wide range of mechanical and electrical applications. These applications include pumps, actuators, electrical wires, switch contacts, seatbelts, etc. In the automotive industry, polyphthalamide is extensively used in the coatings of bumpers, wheels, radiator covers, clutches, shock-absorbing liners, and seals, etc.

Furthermore, polyphthalamide is also used in the automotive industry for the purpose of sealing combustion gasses and fuel tanks. It has certain specific physical and chemical properties which make it suitable for filling in gas pipes. Its resistance to heat is one of its special characteristics. Polyphosphate is used in a wide range of applications such as packaging, seals, tires, fuses, and spark plugs. Other common uses include insulating tubes, thermoplastic connectors, thermoplastic seals, thermoplastic insulation, and thermoset plastics.

Based on these in-depth research results, it is expected that in the upcoming years, polyphthalamide will emerge as the most widely used substitute for PPS in the global market. It shows superior electrical characteristics and better resistance to impact than other metallic coatings. It also exhibits better chemical and physical properties than NCA, PHP, and PPS. Therefore, it is predicted that over the coming years, polyphthalamide will emerge as the most popular alternative to CCT, NCA, PHP, and PPS.

It is observed that there has been a drastic reduction in the price of polyphthalamide due to the global demand and the increasing demand among the customers. Moreover, it is also observed that the development of the manufacturing process at a lower cost base enables the company to offer the products at a cheaper price to the customers. This enables the company to attain a larger share of the market in the future.  Recently, in April 2021, Solvay launched Amodel Supreme PPA, a new line of high-performance polyphthalamide compounds for e-mobility and metal replacement applications.
