Digital Fluoroscopy System; Used To Assess the Anatomy and Function of Different Parts of the Body

Digital Fluoroscopy System

Digital fluoroscopy systems are used to make digital images of the human body. It is form of X-ray used to visualize deep structures of the human body. The system provides detailed images of vital organs such as stomach, bladder, cardiac muscle, and intestine. It records a series of images to the computer. Digital fluoroscopy system is widely used to examine and evaluate the gastrointestinal tract, including the colon, duodenum, esophagus, and the stomach. Moreover, digital fluoroscopy is used to diagnose blockages, inflammation, reflux, scarring, hiatal hernias, ulcers, and tumors.

Furthermore, digital fluoroscopy system examines/evaluates renal function in angiography and venography procedures and pain management procedures. Modified barium swallow study, lumbar puncture, discography, cardiology, urological surgery, placement of weighted feeding tube and peripherally inserted central catheter, angiography, podiatric surgery, and orthopedic surgery are some of the some of the procedures that use digital fluoroscopy system.

In a fluoroscope that is analog, a liquid to be dispensed is placed in the tube just before the tip of the device is reached and analyzed. As the tip of the instrument reaches it, the liquid passes through the tube and the images that are produced are displayed on the monitor. With a digital fluoroscope, the process is a little different; instead of the liquid being placed into the tube, it is recorded onto an internal or external computer designed to analyze the images seen by the fluoroscope. Digital fluoroscopy has many uses and is often used in medical and dental settings.

For instance, the system can be used to see if an aneurysm is present in order to avoid surgery or if a tumor is growing. It is also used commonly in veterinary medicine, where it is often used to examine the eye and for diagnostic purposes. The scope of this procedure has expanded greatly in recent years as more clinics and hospitals have been able to afford the necessary technology. The equipment that is used for fluoroscopy can be obtained either as a stand-alone unit or as part of a complete fluoroscope system.

With the increasing number of orthopedic surgeries, the demand for digital fluoroscopy system is also increasing. Orthopedic surgery is very well developed in Germany. In Germany, Gelenk Klinik orthopaedic hospital is a successful provider of orthopaedic surgery and treatment. Each year, more than 24,000 orthopaedic patients are treated in this hospital.
