Synthetic Textile Fiber and fabrics are witnessing massive applications in various sectors including aerospace, architecture, and apparel

Synthetic Textile Fiber

Synthetic textile fiber is made of man-made material. These fibers are strong, lightweight, and flexible. They are not only found in fabrics but in bedding, clothing, bathing suits, and linens as well. In fact, many people use synthetics in their day-to-day life. The synthetics have given rise to a variety of fiber varieties including nylon, rayon, acrylic, and viscose. Synthetic textile fibers are man-made fibers created by humans through chemical Synthesis, rather than natural fibers which are directly derived from living things. They are also the outcome of extensive studies by scientists to enhance naturally occurring plant and animal fibers into a man-made product.

There is no wonder that synthetic textile fiber has become one of the most popular fibers used in dressings and bedding. It is available in almost all colors, weights, and textures. They are created by the various chemists and engineers working in the textile industry. This means that each kind of fiber that you see being sold in stores is the creation of an expert's expertise. It is interesting to note that most people cannot differentiate the difference between wool and artificial silk.

There are many advantages to synthetic fibers apart from beauty. Besides helping to reduce allergies and provide improved ventilation, they are also better for the environment. They are easy to process, cheap in cost, and can be dyed, many times, to get different colors. Many fabrics that are produced from DuPont products or synthetic fibers can go through a number of processes ranging from cutting, pressing, dying, and weaving. In the case of DuPont rayon fabrics, for example, this fabric is processed at room temperature using high pressure and heat. Recently, PANGAEA, an Italian company, announced to invest in Kintra Fibers, a material science company, for 100% bio-based and compostable yarns.
